Kamaal Yeh Ky Jee Rehe Hein Hum

Kamaal Yeh Ky Jee Rehe Hein Hum

Zawaal   Yeh    Ky   Tere   Sath   Nei
Kamaal Yeh Ky Jee Rehe Hein Hum

زوال یہ کے تیرے ساتھ نہیں

کمال یہ کہ جی رہے ہیں ہم۔۔۔

Translation:

"The decline is that you are not with me,
The wonder is that I am still alive."

Interpretation:

This couplet expresses a profound sentiment of longing and resilience in the face of absence. The word "Zawaal" refers to decline or deterioration, suggesting a sense of loss or emptiness caused by the absence of the beloved ("tere saath nahi"). Despite this absence, the speaker finds it remarkable ("kamaal") that they are still alive ("jee rahe hain hum").

The verse juxtaposes the feeling of emptiness resulting from the absence of the beloved with the unexpected resilience of the speaker. It highlights the paradoxical nature of human emotions, where one can experience profound loss and longing, yet still find the strength to carry on. The speaker acknowledges the pain of separation ("Zawaal"), but also marvels at their ability to continue living and enduring the absence of their loved one ("Kamaal yeh").

Overall, the verse captures the complexity of human emotions and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of longing and loss. It conveys a sense of both vulnerability and strength, as the speaker navigates the challenges of being apart from the beloved while finding solace in the fact that they are still able to carry on with life.
